Donald Trump Shares Video Depicting Joe Biden in a Hog-Tied Position Donald Trump has faced backlash from Joe Biden's campaign team after he shared a video on social media that depicted a truck displaying an image of the US president with his hands and feet bound together. The Biden campaign accused Mr.
Trump of consistently encouraging political violence leading up to the upcoming November election. In response, a representative from the Trump campaign stated that Democrats have been advocating for "disgraceful violence" against Mr.
Trump. The video was posted by Mr. Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Friday.
The caption indicated that it was filmed in Long Island, New York, on Thursday, during the former president's attendance at the wake of a New York City police officer who lost their life during a traffic stop.
The video showcases two trucks driving by, both adorned with US flags and flags expressing support for the police. The second truck prominently displays the words "Trump 2024" and features an image of Mr. Biden with his hands and feet tied. Mr.
Trump's sharing of the video received criticism from the Biden campaign team. Spokesman Michael Tyler stated, "Trump consistently incites political violence, and it is crucial that people start taking him seriously.
Just ask the Capitol police officers who were attacked while protecting our democracy on January 6th," referring to the events of the Capitol riot, where supporters of the former president stormed Congress following his false claims of election fraud in 2020.
Steven Cheung, a representative for the Trump campaign, stated that the image was displayed on the rear of a pickup truck moving along the highway.
He criticized Democrats and other individuals for inciting violence against President Trump and his family, as well as for manipulating the justice system to target him.
The Republican presidential candidate is currently facing four criminal cases, with the election subversion case and the New York hush money case expected to be resolved in court before the 5th of November.
Mr. Trump has maintained his innocence in all the cases, asserting that he is a victim of political persecution.
The controversy surrounding the image on the tailgate is just one of many heated exchanges between the two presidential contenders leading up to the election.
In his campaign to secure another term in the White House, Mr. Trump has intensified his rhetoric, frequently referring to those involved in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, as "hostages".
He faced criticism for his remarks in Ohio earlier this month, where he warned of a potential "bloodbath" if he is not re-elected. This statement was made in the context of discussing foreign car imports and their impact on the economy.
The Biden campaign seized on these comments, but Mr. Trump accused them and the media of distorting his words.
