A 6-magnitude earthquake hits the Philippines...and the Dutch observer: We identified the area a few days ago!

The Philippines is located on the Pacific "Ring of Fire" where volcanic activity and earthquakes are common

The Philippine Seismological Agency said that a 6-magnitude earthquake occurred off the central Philippine province of Leyte Island on Friday, with damage and aftershocks expected.

Minutes after the earthquake occurred, the astronomical body headed by Dutch seismographer Granke Hoogrebietz (SSGEOS) wrote on its official account in “X” that the area that witnessed today’s earthquake had been identified on April 29 as an area vulnerable to being exposed to an earthquake of around 6 magnitudes.

The German Geological Sciences Research Center (GFZ) recorded the earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9, and said it was at a depth of 10 kilometers.

"People panicked and ran out of the mall," said Harold Giganto, a police officer in the coastal city of Dolag on Leyte, who was manning a checkpoint near a mall when the quake struck.

Giganto explained that there have been no reports so far of injuries or damage and that the earthquake was "very strong."

There have been no reports yet from the Philippine authorities about damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake that occurred at sea.

The Philippines is located on the Pacific "Ring of Fire" where volcanic activity and earthquakes are common.

A few days ago, the controversial Dutch expert Frank Hoogrebits appeared, whose predictions of earthquakes and earthquakes in Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia happened to be true a few days ago, and he issued a new warning.

He wrote on the “X” platform on Wednesday, “We have witnessed many weather fluctuations in the past few days... and this could indicate upcoming seismic disturbances.”

He also pointed out that the areas where earthquakes are likely to occur are approximate, and that they will be in the Americas (North and South), according to illustrative pictures he published on the “SSGEOS” account, which he heads, which is the body specialized in engineering monitoring research between celestial bodies related to seismic activity.
