AstraZeneca vaccine withdrawn globally due to its danger

A decision was issued to withdraw the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine against the Corona virus around the world

This comes after the pharmaceutical company admitted that the vaccine would cause rare and serious side effects, and that the vaccine could no longer be used in the European Union.

The company voluntarily withdrew its “marketing authorisation”. The request to withdraw the vaccine was submitted on March 5, and it entered into force on Tuesday.

Specialized websites confirmed that AstraZeneca said that the vaccine had been removed from the market for commercial reasons, adding that it was no longer manufactured or provided, after it had been replaced by updated vaccines that treat new strains.

The company acknowledged in documents submitted to the Supreme Court in February that the vaccine “can - in very rare cases - cause clots,” and the vaccine has been linked to at least 81 deaths in Britain, in addition to hundreds of serious infections.

On the other hand, AstraZeneca insisted that the decision to withdraw the vaccine was not linked to a specific event.

According to independent estimates, more than 6.5 million lives have been saved in the first year of use alone and more than three billion doses have been provided globally. Our efforts have been recognized by governments around the world.
