While more universities in America are preparing for a new wave of protests and unrest during graduation ceremonies that have already begun in the country, Elon Musk entered the line, criticizing the student movement.

The famous and controversial American billionaire shared a tweet on his account at

He commented on those numbers that showed details of federal support for these universities, writing, “It is illogical for American taxpayer money to go to finance anti-country activities,” in reference to student movements.

However, this criticism sparked a wave of comments that ranged between criticism and support at his expense.

What about Israel?

Some believed that American taxpayer money, according to Musk's logic, should not also go to Israel.

While others saw that the owner of Tesla, who visited Tel Aviv months ago to confirm its support in this war, was correct in his opinion, especially after the American police announced the arrest of people who participated in university protests while they were not students there.

For weeks, college students across the United States have gathered or set up tents to protest the months-long war in the Gaza Strip and to demand that President Joe Biden, who supports Israel, do more to stop the bloodshed there.

They also called on their universities to divest from companies that support the Israeli government, such as arms supply companies.

While several universities, including Columbia University in New York City, called in the police to contain these protests. So far, police have arrested more than 2,000 demonstrators from universities across the country, some of whom were later released.
