Former Liverpool star: Mohamed Salah is the most selfish player I have ever seen

Former Liverpool FC star, Graeme Souness, launched a scathing attack on Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, describing him as one of the "most selfish players."

A verbal altercation took place between Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah on the touchline during the Reds' 2-2 draw with West Ham last Saturday.

The match witnessed a heated dialogue between Salah and his coach, who will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, and ended with an intervention from his fellow Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez, who tried to alleviate the anger of the Egyptian Pharaoh, before they came on as substitutes in the 79th minute.

In an interview with the Three Up Front program, Souness said that Salah “will leave Liverpool. He was great with the club, but if he leaves for the Saudi League, he will be the biggest star in the world.”

Souness added: “There is no doubt that he has an exceptional opinion of himself, and he will undoubtedly be angry at not starting the match against West Ham last week.”

He continued: "I see that his position with Klopp was a reaction to his inclusion just ten minutes before the end of the match. The player was more severe than the coach in that confrontation."

He stressed, "Salah is the most selfish player I have ever seen. Even before that match, when Klopp replaces him, he is not happy about it."
