A men's Para athlete, sporting a helmet and wearing a red, white and black singlet, holds the Canadian flag behind his back after his race.

Austin Smeenk of Oakville, Ont., crossed the finish line in a world record time of 48.38 seconds to win the men's T34 400 metres at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix on Friday in Nottwil, Switzerland.
