N.S. restaurants struggling to stay open amid rising food and operating costs

Nova Scotia's restaurant industry is still feeling the challenges of a post-pandemic climate. Nearly half are still operating at a loss or just breaking even, according to the Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia. This is largely due to an increase in expenses — not just food costs, but also utilities, insurance and equipment.
